Inspired by editorial design, the brand system positions typography and imagery as functional components of storytelling. Typography sets structure, hierarchy, and flow, while imagery reinforces context and narrative intent. This approach creates consistency across formats while allowing flexibility in how stories are told.

Medium acquired the platform in 2021, with the goal of integrating its creator tools and enhancing the core Medium user experience.
